We are opening 100 student places, free of charge, to a small founding cohort of schools. Places are open now, with lessons starting before the end of the year, and each school keeps its places for a full school year.

Not a school? There are 20 free places for families too.

What the pilot is

Talk Time daily speaking lessons and our read-along eBooks, running together on one shared vocabulary sequence, for a group of your choosing — a group of emergent bilinguals, or a whole year group. There is no charge and no obligation to continue.

The course teaches English, and it is built for early-stage emergent bilinguals — learners who are still building vocabulary and the confidence to speak. More advanced learners still gain from the later titles, but the pilot is focused on those early learners.

In return we ask for a named teacher as our point of contact, a signature from whoever holds the budget, baseline and end-of-year assessment data, and permission to write up what happens in your classrooms. The full terms come with the agreement.

What your school gets

• Talk Time — a daily oral-language lesson of 10–15 minutes, running through nine phases, individualised to each student and adapting as they master vocabulary.
• Read-along eBooks — every page narrates itself with the words highlighted as they are spoken, in real curriculum content across Science, Mathematics, Social Studies and Literary titles.
• Built-in comprehension quizzes and scored retell activities on every title.
• Two-axis levelling — Language Level and content age-range are set independently, so a title can carry demanding ideas at a simple vocabulary level.
• Accounts for your whole structure — district, school, class and teacher, created from a single CSV upload, with reporting at every one of those levels.
• Curriculum mapping — titles are mapped to standards in our scope and sequence, including Common Core mathematics, NGSS science, CASEL and civics. We can supply the mapping on request.
• Free teacher accounts, without limit. We never charge for the adults.
• Online support for your teachers, throughout the pilot. We will help you get set up, and stay reachable while you run it — this is a partnership, not a download.

What it is worth, and what it would cost to continue

We are showing you our list price so you know the value of what you are receiving, and what continuing after the pilot would cost. Founding schools will be offered a substantial discount on these rates, set out in the agreement before the pilot begins.

Seats are US$10–18 per student, per year, depending on how many you take. One seat is one named student for 12 months, entitled to one speaking lesson per day; reading is unlimited. Teacher accounts are free and unlimited, and the minimum order is ten seats. Local list prices in AUD, NZD and GBP are available on request.

Seats are reassignable — a place freed by a departing student can be reissued — and extra seats can be added mid-year at your tier rate. Below 100 seats you get teacher dashboards; at 100 seats and above, the school admin console, cohort reporting and rostering.

For families

To mark World Literacy Day we are giving three months free to the first 20 families who ask. There is no card to enter, no subscription and nothing to cancel — we set each family up by hand and email you when your access is ready.

So you know what that is worth: a family subscription will be US$79 a year, or US$8.99 a month, covering five reader profiles — more than any comparable service — with a shared household allowance of daily speaking lessons. Paid family subscriptions are not open yet, and we will let you know before they are.
